He was not related to Justin Cade but they were boyfriends at some point in the early 80s until 1986. In the late 80s, Joe was paired with Brian Adams, they met while filming Better Than Ever. They're first reaction to each other was "What a jerk." In later films they felt it was difficult to perform together when they felt like making love but were asked to have sex. They spent 2 hours per day 6 days a week at the gym. In Oct. 1988, they appeared on the Phil Donahue show.
